Pests & Diseases

Identify and treat common plant problems

Even the best-cared-for plants can encounter pests and diseases. Early detection and treatment are key to keeping your collection healthy.

Tiny red or brown dots on the undersides of leaves, fine webbing between stems, and stippled or speckled leaves are telltale signs. Spider mites thrive in dry conditions. Treatment: spray the plant thoroughly with a mix of water and a few drops of dish soap or neem oil. Increase humidity around the plant. Repeat every 5–7 days for 3 weeks to break the lifecycle.
